Home Sweet Home

Renovating one’shome is like moving into a whole new place. It’s a new begining… For me, it was something I’ve wanted to do for a long time and I finally found the time to do it. I did not renovate anything major. But changing some art on the walls, painting some areas, adding new accessories like pillows or candles, can really change a place drastically.

I first, painted two walls in the living room. I bought the paint from Portala Paints. They are based in LA and they have an amazing palette. For the pink wall, I choose the color “Penelope”, reminds me of the Acne shopping bag! For the Dark blue next to the fireplace I choose the “In the Navy” to create a real contrast with the stone fireplace.

For the Art, we decided to print and frame 3 Andy Warhol polaroids that I found in one of his books. We picked Blondie, Yves Saint laurent and a pair of shoes that he photographed in 1976. We then moved our old art all around, I change the place of my Bowie that we had for a while and hanged him on the pink wall, because I mean…Of course he belongs there.

After, a lot of books, candles, some pillows and that was it.

For the Bedroom, I wanted to have a very natural feel. We stayed very black and off white, mixing natural wood and white linens. We added a geometric rug in front of the bed to make it cosier and hanged from the ceiling 2 red light cables with a bulb.

I tried to link most of my furniture and home accents below for you. If you can’t find something you see and like, shoot me a comment and I will be happy to tell you where to find it.

xx Jen
